Disney is offering a $10 off coupon for the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack of "James and Giant Peach" which comes out on August 3rd.

To get the coupon, find your current DVD or VHS copy, and jot down the barcode number (I don't have a copy myself, so I went to a neighbor who did, and copied down the barcode number). Then you can log into Disney Movie Rewards and either sign-up, or enter your account, and from there will be directed where to go to enter your barcode number and print your coupon.

Printed coupons are valid from August 3 - 17, and are only good for the Blu-Ray/DVD combo edition.

I have seen this posted other places, but since I actually did this myself, I'll post about it.

The Bingham Canyon mine (Kennecott Copper) is free to the public until July 25th. Normally it's $5 per car, so it's a great deal. They have a little visitor's center with a short 10 minute video you can watch (and learn) about what goes on at the mine, and how it all works. Plus it was pretty amazing to be able to look down into a 3/4 of a mile hole in the ground!

My sister and brother-in-law took us to a little restaurant several months ago, and from the first bite, I was hooked. It's called SMASHBURGER, and it is the best hamburger I have ever eaten.

They have opened up a few stores around Utah (the one in Orem across from University Mall is the one that gets my business), and I saw that they were having some pretty awesome promotions in May, so I thought I'd let you know about them.

For this deal, you need to already have a DVD or VHS copy of Disney/Pixar's Toy Story or Toy Story 2. You will take the barcode from the back of the cover (be sure to include the little numbers at the front and back of the barcode) and enter those at DisneyMovieRewards.com

You will have to either log-in, or sign up for this program (which gives you bonus points for each Disney movie you purchase in the future--which can be used for prizes once you have earned enough!).

During this time of economic hardship, I'd like to spotlight a couple of crafty ladies and the unique products they offer at etsy.com (a website for buying and selling home-made items).

The first is Blind Betty. You can link to her etsy shop HERE. She specializes in personalized wooden blocks, perfect for holidays, Family Home Evening, chores, or to simply put names of family members on. I bought one and had the names of our family put on, and now my kids call it "The Magic Cube" and pull it out for EVERYTHING!

"Who has to vaccuum?--Use the Magic Cube!"
"Whose turn is it to dry dishes?--Use the Magic Cube!"

Since the cubes are 6 sided, we put one name on each side,and since there's only 4 of us, the other two sides are labeled "Right" and "Left", so whoever rolls the dice and it comes up one of those options, the person to the right or left gets selected for the job!

There is a lot of customizability--choose the wording (as long as it will fit on the block), the colors, and she even has a block that can be written on with chalk!

Homemade Bubble Solution Recipe

For those of you who go through a bunch of bubble solution, here is a recipe that is tried and true. The concentrate and bubbles last longer, are bigger and won't stain the sidewalk or house!!! Since using this recipe I have decided I won't ever purchase the pre-made stuff again!

Bubble Solution Recipe
1 cup distilled water (my tap water has too many minerals)
2 Tablespoons Dawn (I think this soap works best)
1 Tablespoons glycerin (available in the pharmacy, it's a skin protectant.....it's also under $3.00)
(One bottle of glycerin will made 14 batches of soap)

Combine ingredients well in a covered container. Enjoy!!

While you are at Macey's, pick up some FREE McCormick Spice Packets. In last Sunday's insert (Red Plum), a coupon came for $0.75 off McCormick spices. This coupon is also good for the pre-measured spice packets. Macey's has several on sale for less than the coupon amount, but I decided to purchase the ones closest to $0.75. I ended up getting several of the Au Jus packets for $0.04 each. AWESOME!!!! Remember to have one coupon per seasoning packet.

Kelloggs Cereal and FREE eggs at Macey's

Through today Macey's has select Kelloggs cereal for 6/$10.50, but you must purchase 6 in order to get the $1.75 price per box (their store coupon in the weekly ad). In Sunday a $1.50 off 1 box coupon came in the ads (Red Plum). Using 6 coupons and the store coupon in the ad each box ends up being $0.24 EACH!!!!! Also, at the Pleasant Grove location, there are coupons set up at the cereal display at the front of the store for FREE eggs with the purchase of 2 boxes of cereal. I used 3 of these coupons and was able to get 3 18 count cartons of eggs FREE!! (The egg coupon says any size and brand). So, I was able to get 6 boxes of cereal and 3 (18 count) eggs for $1.44 plus tax. SWEET!!!! PLEASE remember to be courteous to other customers and don't raid the coupons!!

"Rolling" SoftSoap Bath Gel Catalina at Walgreens

What's up with this deal you ask? Well, when you purchase Softsoap Bath Gel for $3.99 at Walgreens, a catalina - or coupon- prints at the register for one free bottle. As of yesterday, the deal was rolling, meaning you purchase one, a coupon prints for a free one. Use the free coupon to "purchase" another bottle and another "free" coupon prints. Personally, I have a few issues with this. I believe this must be an error somewhere because ALL THE WALGREENS IN MY AREA - 7 have had trouble. I purchased one bottle using the coupon from the March issue of All You Magazine ($1.00 off one) and received my free coupon. I thus proceeded to "purchase" my free bottle with coupon and was approached my the manager asking if I had already done this deal. Apparently, one customer earlier in the morning had tried to purchase 100 bottles (all the store had) in 100 transactions for the purchase of the initial bottle........COME ON PEOPLE!!! Use some common sense.....one person CAN RUIN it for everyone else..........

Show some restraint......even if the item is free.......

I have enjoyed my subscription to All You Magazine very much. Several issues a year have over $50 in coupons. April's issue contains over $51.00 in coupons!! One fabulous coupon is for Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara. The coupon is good for one full-size tube up to $6.47 at Wal-Mart. If you were to purchase the magazine off the rack, the cost would be $1.99. You need to decide if purchasing multiple copies of the magazine would be a good thing for you in order to stock up on mascara. Remember the many other coupons contained in the magazine.....a good idea might be to get together with your friends and trade coupons with each other to get what you need/want out of the issue.

Using the $1.50/1 bottle coupon that came in the Sunday March 29th inserts, you can purchase Kraft Salad Dressing for $0.08. The regular price is $1.58. Remember to check the expiration date before you buy. Although salad dressing is good beyond the sell by date, it's a good idea to buy the ones with the farthest out date in case you don't get to it for awhile.

I think I have fully converted my husband to couponing!!! He has always been a good sport, but he says I am no fun to shop with anymore because shopping takes sooo long;)...anyway, he found some great coupons at a local gas station for $1.00 off the purchase of a 20 oz. Coke product and Reese candy bar. In this past Sunday paper, Albertson's had 4 coupons that would double the value of the coupon up to $1.00. Check out my receipts!!!! $0.24 TOTAL (tax only) for 8 20 oz. Cokes and 8 candy bars......great for our Easter!!!

P.S. Because I get multiple newspapers I got several sets of Albertson's coupon and purchased cereal and breadsticks too. I got some cereal for $0.10 a box!!

Macey's in Pleasant Grove is having Customer Appreciation Days until next Friday (March 27th). There are many sales throughout the store that I will share with you, but the product that caught my attention today is the Yoplait yogurt. It's on sale for $0.39 each. I believe the regular price is $0.79-$0.89 each. I don't know if there is a limit per person, but they are offering unopened cases for purchase. My family loves yogurt, both straight from the store and frozen. You can bet I'll be taking advantage of this sale!
