Coupons for Craft Items....

Sorry everyone, but this is a Utah/Idaho only deal (not because the rest of you aren't wonderful, nice people, but simply because of the stores are only located here!)

My husband used to work part-time at Roberts Crafts. Each week they have a coupon for 40% off of one item per customer per day. All you had to do is mention that you'd like the 40% off of the item of your choice (some limitations) while at the register, and you could get it at that discount. They have since changed the "rules" a little bit. You actually have to have the coupon with you, and present it to the cashier, but the coupon is always on their weekly flyer which you can pick up at the Customer Service desk, or print online from their website, robertscrafts.com. He was surprised at how many people came thru the cashier line and didn't use this money-saving concept!
Some weeks, there is coupon for 50% off an item instead of the normal 40%, and some weeks they have special coupons for 40-50% off certain items, or certain departments (floral, scrapbooking, unfinished wood, for example). Also on the Roberts website you can see a copy of the current week's flyer to see what other items are one sale. Typically they have various craft items on sale each week for 25-50% off, so be sure to check it out.

The rule for using the coupons is that they are one coupon per person per day. My husband came home all the time telling me how someone would come in with all their kids and each kid would have a coupon that their parents were "coaching them" to use on items they wanted for the discount. Each coupon has to be used in its own transaction, so you may be in line a while, but at least you can get your items for a cheaper price, right?!
Just FYI, the coupons can't be combined with a sale (for instance if an item is already 30% off, using your coupon doesn't make it 70% off, but you could increase the 30% to 40% for that item). Some things you CAN'T use the coupon on EVER are things like: scented jar candles, Cricut machines or cartridges, balloon bouquets, custom floral arrangements, and Christmas trees or other large floor trees.
Try it out the next time you are out craft shopping, and don't forget to take the kids along (it might be a nightmare while shopping, but when you go to pay--and they each have a coupon to use--it will be worth it!)

Do you know of anywhere that does double coupons in utah or takes printed ones? Albertson's & Smiths around me are no longer taking them because of fraud- even with the website printed on the page.

I am not aware of ANY store in Utah that doubles coupons. Also, many stores are changing their coupon policies day to day. Be sure to call and check if they are still accepting online printed coupons. Just because they did yesterday, doesn't mean they will today.....bad news for those of us who actually followed the rules....

I have really enjoyed watching you on Studio 5. You have done a phenominal job at helping me better understand how saving all this money really works. I appreciate your down to earth simplified approach. Thank you for sharing yourself and your secrets with all of us.
