I also love Close-Out type stores such as BigLots! I always look in the food sections for great deals off things I need. I always check the expiration dates, just to be sure. You really have to know your prices because some items I can get elsewhere at a better price if I wait for a sale and combine it with coupons. These types of stores don't accept coupons, you just have to know your prices.
Here are the items I got in this shopping trip to:
The first price is retail, the price in parenthesis is BigLots! price and how many I purchased.
Ragu Spaghetti Sauce in a Pouch: $3.99 ( $0.50 each x 33)
Sip - Ahhhh Flavored Straws $5.99 ($0.50 each x 10)
Mister Salty Pretzels & Cheese $2.79 ($1.30 each x 1)
Kellogg's Jump Starts $2.79 ($1.00 each x 10)
Retail Total : $222.26 Amount Paid: $32.80
Total Saved: $186.46

That is on heck of a find. I do love Big lots. I was very happy when I found them out here in Utah. Im from NY and finding deals there is pretty much.... not. I love the money saving I can do here.
I'm looking forward to your show tomorrow.
What great finds! I can't wait until our store opens here. The closest one is 45 minutes away.
I was wondering about the WF weekly coupons- do they really let you do that? I have 6 people in my family and can I use 6 coupons?
I haven't had a problem with using multiple coupons per family because each of us go through the register. I don't use all the free coupons in one transaction.
Will Big Lots take coupons? Just wondering...thanks, Stacy
