O.K., I have to preface this post with a warning. I may offend some of you, but I need to speak my mind if only for a moment. This post is in regards to taking MULTIPLE copies of a grocery store ad (I mean many more than a few......like 40!!!!) Let's take for example, ummmmmmm, the Harmon's ad and the Albertson's sale. There is a coupon in the Harmon's ad for $3.00 off a purchase of participating Quaker products and Albertson's is having an amazing Quaker sale. Taking MANY ummmmmmmm, like for example 40........ads to only clip the coupon is NOT RIGHT!!!! You ruin it for the rest of us. I went to Harmon's and noticed their ad wasn't by the entrance doors. I went to customer service and asked for an ad.....they had one, but with a HUGE WHOLE in it where the coupon used to be. The lady at the desk said, "If you are purchasing the Quaker products and need the coupon, the cashier at the register will have ONE for you. I would like to say thank you to all those people who RUINED THIS DEAL FOR EVERYONE ELSE!!! Getting a deal is one thing, but this is ridiculous. There, I've said it. Now I need a bubble bath and Diet Coke......

I'd agree and I'm not offended. Lots of deals I have tried have been ruined for the same reason! And if these people wouldn't have done it, most of us could have gotten a reasonable amount of the product like 3 or 5 instead of 40! Rediculous!
I agree with you both....its so frustrating!!!
Thanks Janet for all your great tips here on your blog as well as on Studio 5. You make coupon shopping a lot easier for me!! :o)
Thank you for saying this. It has been something I've wanted to blog about as well. You're absolutely right when people do things like this and ruin the shopping trip for everyone else. I appreciate your candidness and hope others do as well.
I totally agree. There is a difference between being a coupon cutting, money conscious shopper and an annoying cheapskate :)
Thanks for stating this! It's courteous to your fellow shoppers to only take a few. Love your blog...
Hi Janet,
Just wondering how I get in touch with you via e-mail or phone. I would love to interview you by phone for a podcast for my website atlowbuylehi.com. Contact me if you are interested. It wouldn't take more than 15 minutes of your time. Thanks!

I totally agree. I went to the albertsons sale last week and they had to hide their ads back at the customer service desk so people wouldn't take more than one. What people don't think about is these sales come around so often that if they want more they should just wait a few weeks so the rest of us get a fair shot!Ugh!
